2026 GNB1 Group Research Grant Awardees​

 

We are excited to congratulate the awardees of the 2025 GNB1 Advocacy Group Grant: Dr. Chillon and Dr. Dascal.

Dr. Chillon and Dr. Almoda and team have been awarded $15,000.00 from the GNB1 Advocacy Group for their proposal “Evaluation of the efficacy of a gene therapy strategy for GNB1 in patient-derived neurons.” This grant will contribute to continuing analysis of a potential gene therapy treatment.

Dr. Dascal has been awarded $15,000.00 from the GNB1 Advocacy Group for his proposal “Exploring potential drug therapies for GNB1-linked epilepsy with cellular and GNB1 mouse models.” This grant will support testing potential treatments for GNB1 seizures from among existing drugs and food additives which are already found safe for human consumption.
